Not Bad!

Like you said "it's not the best flash ever" but i can see that you put a lot of effort in it. The intro, all the voice acting and synching it into the flash, etc.

The animation and char desing was pretty decent, and the plot is very creative too.

Only thing i would recomend you to really improve in further submisions is the sound quality, if you can spare some Mb, set it to normal or better. And for further voice acting it would be nice if you could give them a lil more "life" to it, it was a little monotone.

So bottom line, good job, try to keep improving, who knows maybe you'll get a daily feature someday. Good luck =).

flashallround responds:

thanks for that, I'll take that into mind when making the next ones, audacity was playing up when i was making it with the recordings

Very nice graphics and animation

But the script needs more work, its a bit dull. You could have done a parody of the whole "bullet to the head" evoking. That would have been hilarious.

Still, your animation skills are worthy of praise, so you have my congratulations. Cheers.

mrnihil responds:

it made the point it was meant to make.

thanks- the animation was the important part this time.

That was balls up the walls

Fucking hillarious.

It has potential

You need to work on the visual aspect, but the overall concept is ok.

Its a start

I'll tell you how to create an ammo counter.

1-) On your actions frame type:
var ammo = new Number (enter desired ammo number);

_root.onMouseUp = function (){
if (ammo > 0) {
ammo--;
}
}

The "if" sentence is to prevent ammo going beyond 0.

2-) Using the Text Tool, draw a text field where you would like the ammo to be displayed. Select font, color and size. When you are happy about how it looks, set the text field to Dinamic, give it an instance name of "ammoCounter" (without " ") and in the var field type "ammo" (without " "). All this stuff is in the properties section below the stage, im sure you will find them.

3-) test your movie, your ammo will go down evey time you click (when you release to be more precise). You should tweak with this to do something when ammo reaches 0 (like not letting the player keep firing until he/she reloads).

Oh right, also you should improve the Crossair, looks a bit improvised.

I hope this was helpful, i tried the code before posting this so im sure it works. Good luck with your proyect.

Good game

Pretty entertaining, the only downside is that maybe the game is a bit unchallenging. You should work to somehow fill the screen faster with enemies so its harder to move around.

It's still a 9, but for future versions work harder in pestering the user. Everybody loves a challenge =).

Awesome

This tune is awesome man, but IMHO i think the kick needs more bass, it sounds a little weak, specially when its the main sound.

Great song!.

DanceNation responds:

yea, man, i lack with my mixing kicks

Goddamn

This is awesome. Keep it up man.

Mindblowing

This song gives a dark and holy feeling at the same time, it sounds crazy but i know that people who heard the song know what i mean.

This sounds like a professional game soundtrack.

Awesome

Look very realistic, the lightning is perfect. It would be an awesome background for a Visual Novel.
